Blue tit
Blue tit, Parus caeruleus, 11 cm
This small bird originally inhabited woodlands, but can now be found throughout Europe in gardens and parks. They can be extremely acrobatic when foraging for insects and seeds. The blue ‘cap’, but also their song and dance help determine the choice of partner.
