Sedge warbler

Sedge warbler (E), Acrocephalus schoenobaenus, 12 cm

These subtly marked birds build their untidy nests in reed beds. Its primary food sources are insects and spiders. Their busy song can be heard from the top of reed stalks or during brief flights. It is a summer guest that spends its winters in the Sahel.
